Ordering

  • Ordering is easy through our website. Simply choose an arrangement, select your preferred size, add any extras, choose your delivery date, and complete checkout.

  • If same-day delivery is available, you’ll be able to select it during checkout. Availability depends on the time of day and delivery location. No Same day orders are taken after 12 pm.

  • Absolutely. You can choose your preferred delivery date during checkout.

  • Yes. We encourage ordering early for holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Christmas, and Thanksgiving, as delivery capacity can fill up quickly.

  • If your order has not yet been designed or delivered, we’ll do our best to accommodate changes.

  • Orders may be cancelled before the order has been sent out. Custom orders, weddings, and event florals may have different cancellation policies. Refer to contract for custom poilicies.

  • Absolutely. We can omit the sender’s name from the card if requested.

Delivery

  • We proudly deliver throughout Edmonton, Sherwood Park, St. Albert, Beaumont, Leduc, and surrounding communities. If you’re unsure whether we deliver to your location, simply enter the delivery address during checkout or contact us and we’ll be happy to help.

  • Yes. Same-day delivery is available on select orders placed before our daily cutoff time of 12 pm, subject to availability and delivery capacity.

  • While we cannot guarantee an exact delivery time, deliveries are made throughout the day during our delivery window. We always strive to have your flowers arrive as close as possible to your requested date. We typically call head to make sure someone is there to receive the flowers.

  • You may include a preferred delivery timeframe in your order notes, and we’ll do our best to accommodate it. Exact delivery times cannot be guaranteed unless specifically arranged in advance for weddings, events, or other custom services.

  • We call ahead to insure delivery can be received. But if the recipient isn’t available, our driver will use their best judgment. Flowers may be left in a safe, sheltered location or the recipient may be contacted to arrange a suitable delivery. Our priority is ensuring your flowers arrive safely and remain in the best possible condition.

  • Unless requested, we typically do call before delivery in order to insure the delivery can be received. If a surprise is what your looking for we can gladly accommodate, just make sure you let us know!

  • When weather conditions are suitable and a safe, sheltered location is available, flowers may be left outside at the driver’s discretion. During extreme heat, freezing temperatures, or unsafe conditions, we will make every effort to ensure the flowers are handed to someone directly or arrange an alternative solution.

  • Delivery fees are calculated based on the destination and will be shown during checkout before your order is completed.

  • At this time, Flowers in the City is an online floral studio focused on delivery. Pickup may be available for select custom orders by prior arrangement. Please contact us to discuss your needs.

Flowers

  • Every arrangement is handcrafted using fresh seasonal flowers. While we aim to match the overall style, colour palette, and feel, individual flower varieties may vary depending on seasonal availability.

  • We’ll substitute it with an equally beautiful bloom of similar colour, texture, and value while maintaining the overall design.

  • Yes. We source fresh flowers and design every arrangement to maximize beauty and vase life. Refer to our flower care guide to help your flowers last as long as possible.

  • Absolutely. We’ll do our best to accommodate requests based on seasonal availability.

  • Some flowers can be toxic to pets. If you’re ordering for a pet-friendly home, let us know and we’ll recommend suitable options whenever possible.

Flower Care

  • We guaranteen 3-5 days, although some blooms may last even longer with proper care. Vase life varies depending on the flower varieties, the environment, and how well the flowers are maintained.

  • To help your flowers stay beautiful for as long as possible: Place them in fresh, clean water and keep them away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and drafts.

  • Yes. Fresh water is one of the most important factors in extending the life of your flowers. Change the water every two to three days and rinse the vase before refilling it.

  • Yes. Flower food contains nutrients that feed the flowers, an acidifier that helps the stems absorb water, and ingredients that reduce bacterial growth. Using the provided flower food can noticeably extend the life of your arrangement.

  • Your satisfaction is important to us. If you believe there’s an issue with the freshness or quality of your flowers, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery and include a few photos of the arrangement. We’ll review the issue and work with you to find an appropriate solution.

  • Yes, if needed. Keeping flowers in a refrigerator overnight (away from fruits and vegetables) can help extend their vase life. Household refrigerators often work well for this purpose, provided the temperature isn’t so cold that the flowers freeze.

  • Many flowers are intentionally designed while still partially closed. This allows them to continue opening over the following days, giving you a fuller arrangement and extending its beauty.
